Lee Sang-geun, the governor of Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam, inspected disaster-vulnerable areas in preparation for nationwide heavy rains and locally intense downpours.
On the 30th, Governor Lee visited Goseong Market, the collapsed embankment site at Jangjwachon in Donghae-myeon, the washed-out embankment site on County Road 14 in Janggi-ri, Donghae-myeon, and a chive farm located in Jukgye-ri, Goseong-eup, to directly assess the damage situation.
Sang-geun Lee, Goseong County Governor, is conducting an on-site inspection in preparation for the autumn rainy season.
In preparation for the autumn monsoon and upcoming typhoons, he personally inspected hazardous areas and facilities, especially checking the status of emergency restoration, and urged officials to conduct frequent inspections to ensure thorough preparedness to prevent casualties and disaster accidents.
Governor Lee stated, “Thanks to the efforts of officials and residents in preparing for the continuous heavy rains and Typhoon Khanun, fortunately, no major damage has occurred in Goseong-gun. Since the ground is weakened by the autumn monsoon and typhoons continue, I hope county officials will prioritize the safety of residents by promptly conducting preemptive surveillance activities and necessary safety measures.”
