The National Library for Children and Young Adults announced on the 31st that it will hold an on-site campaign called "Please Read a Book" at Ilsan Lake Park from September 1 to 3. The campaign involves wearing yellow aprons and reading books to children. Authors such as Eunji Lee of "Magic Flower Water" and Miu of "Terrifying Shrimp Eyes" will participate, and programs including a one-person play, making the book character "Pinbutton," and a hashtag challenge will be held.
Later, experience booths will be set up at events such as the "Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo" at the end of September, the "International Children's Book & Content Festa (BOOKIZCON)" in October, and the "Jeonju Reading Festival."
Park Joo-ok, director of the National Library for Children and Young Adults, stated, "We will strive to foster proper reading habits and create a society that enjoys reading through joyful reading experiences for children."
