Gokseong-gun Temporarily Raises Purchase Limit for Simcheong Gift Certificates

Purchase Limit Increased from 700,000 Won to 1,000,000 Won

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that it will temporarily raise the individual purchase limit of the Gokseong Simcheong Gift Certificate from 700,000 won to 1,000,000 won for the month of September ahead of Chuseok.

The discount rate remains the same at 10%. Paper gift certificates can be purchased up to 300,000 won, and mobile gift certificates up to 700,000 won. By combining these two methods, a total of 1,000,000 won can be purchased per person.

An official from the county said, “In celebration of Chuseok, the biggest holiday in Korea, we have raised the purchase limit per person. We hope this increase will lead to higher sales for traditional markets and small business owners, thereby helping to revitalize the local economy.”

The Gokseong Simcheong Gift Certificate can be purchased in paper form at 17 agricultural and livestock cooperative sales agencies within the county, or via the corresponding app for mobile purchases or recharges.

General issued gift certificates can be used at 1,130 paper-type affiliated stores, excluding stores with annual sales exceeding 3 billion won, and at 1,119 Zero Pay affiliated stores.

Meanwhile, Gokseong-gun is reviewing various improvement plans, including the introduction of gift certificate cards, to enhance convenience and maximize satisfaction for users of the Gokseong Simcheong Gift Certificate.
