The Daegu Regional Tax Office visited the ‘Sarangui Bbangnanumteo’ in Seo-gu, Daegu City on the 29th and carried out a ‘Sharing Love Kimchi’ volunteer activity.
‘Sarangui Bbangnanumteo’ is a social welfare organization that operates without government support, relying solely on private donations from individuals and groups to provide coal briquettes, kimchi, and bread to neighbors in need, such as basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income households, fulfilling a role in private welfare.
Daegu National Tax Service employees are taking a commemorative photo while delivering kimchi to neighbors in need.
About 20 employees from the Daegu Tax Office devoted themselves to volunteer work by cutting salted cabbage and mixing seasonings. The employees individually packaged 150 kg of cabbage kimchi they made into 3 kg containers and delivered them to vulnerable groups in the community, such as elderly living alone and single-parent families, through the Dalseong-gun Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
Yoon Jong-geon, head of the Daegu Tax Office, who participated in the kimchi sharing, said, “Low-income households are facing many difficulties due to rising prices caused by the recent surge in vegetable prices. I hope the summer kimchi made together with the employees will help ease the food expenses of neighbors in need, even if only a little.”
The Daegu Regional Tax Office stated, “The cabbage was purchased with money raised through a used book donation campaign involving all employees. We will continue to practice sharing culture activities that deliver love to neighbors in need, such as vulnerable groups in the local community who require helping hands.”
