According to the industry, Hyundai Motor Group plans to commercialize the world's first 'Level 3' autonomous vehicle operating at speeds up to 80 km/h by the end of this year. In April, they additionally acquired shares, investing a total of 1.05 trillion won. Hyundai Motor Group announced plans to strengthen software competitiveness by establishing a global software center through the acquisition of FortyTwoDot.
Meanwhile, Tinkware is an advanced vehicle IT technology company specializing in location-based services. It manufactures navigation systems, black boxes, tablet PCs, and more. It is also the parent company of mobility platform company iNavi Systems. iNavi Systems was finally selected for a national project regarding high-precision positioning technology, which is essential for Level 4 autonomous driving services and systems.
FortyTwoDot has invested in iNavi Systems. At that time, iNavi Systems succeeded in raising 7 billion won in Series A investment and was recognized with a corporate valuation of 50 billion won.
