Impact of Increasing the Gift Value Limit for Agricultural and Marine Products to 300,000 KRW

Jeongyookgak announced on the 29th that 200,000 KRW range gift sets are being rapidly sold out, based on an analysis of pre-orders for Chuseok gift sets that began on the 23rd. It is interpreted that the increase in the gift value limit for agricultural, livestock, and fishery products subject to the Anti-Graft Act to a maximum of 300,000 KRW starting this Chuseok has had an impact.
Among the total 10 types of Jeongyookgak gift sets, the initial 5-day order volume for the three gift sets in the 200,000 KRW range accounted for 30% of the total. This is an increase compared to the 16% order ratio during this year’s Lunar New Year holiday. The company explained that the order volume for the 220,000 KRW mixed Hanwoo (Korean beef) and pork set has reached 80% of the target quantity, indicating that sales are nearing completion. The approximately 270,000 KRW and 290,000 KRW Hanwoo sets follow, with 25% and 24% sold respectively.
The representative product, the 'Signature Ultra-Fresh Pork Set' composed of pork belly and neck meat, is available at a reasonable price in the 50,000 KRW range based on the promotional price. In addition, except for one 500,000 KRW Hanwoo set targeting 'ultra-premium' demand, all sets are prepared under 300,000 KRW, including four mixed sets with differentiated Hanwoo cuts and grades along with pork belly and neck meat, and five Hanwoo sets.
This Chuseok is the first holiday since Jeongyookgak introduced the 'Gift' feature itself in May. By selecting a gift set within the gift function of the Jeongyookgak application (app) and web, and entering only the recipient’s name and contact information, orders can be placed. When the recipient directly inputs the delivery information and desired arrival date, production begins to match the receipt date.
Pre-orders for Chuseok gift sets will continue until September 20. Early bird benefits with up to 7.5% discount are available until October 4. Reservations close immediately once production capacity is exceeded. The gift receipt period is from September 22 to 26. Free delivery is provided using Jeongyookgak’s own fresh food packaging guide and dedicated packaging for gift sets.
A Jeongyookgak official said, "Initial demand is concentrated on the 200,000 KRW gift sets, and reservation quantities are being rapidly sold out," adding, "We hope customers will purchase high-quality gift sets at early bird discounted prices reasonably and prepare gifts conveniently through the gift function."
