'Commitment to Proactive Administration and Integrity Starting from Myself and Above'
Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seongheon) held a ‘Pledge Ceremony for Active Administration and Anti-Corruption Integrity Practice’ for senior public officials on the morning of the 28th in the district office meeting room, committing to pursue integrity and proactive policy implementation.
The event was conducted targeting senior public officials to express efforts and determination for realizing active administration and a clean district government.
The mayor, deputy mayor, director of the Administrative Autonomy Bureau, director of the Planning and Finance Bureau, director of the Smart Environment and Life Bureau, director of the Welfare, Culture and Sports Bureau, director of the Urban Maintenance Bureau, director of the Safety and Construction Bureau, director of the Council Secretariat, head of the Public Health Center, and the director of the Urban Management Corporation signed the pledge and read its contents aloud together.
The pledge includes ▲improving unreasonable regulations and practicing active administration ▲breaking passive administration and implementing active administration that residents can feel ▲prohibiting pursuit of any private interests ▲guarding against corruption and creating an honest public service culture.
Mayor Lee Seongheon said, “Integrity is the most fundamental element to make Seodaemun-gu trusted by residents,” adding, “Through senior public officials’ leading by example, creative administrative attempts, and improvement of unreasonable regulations, we will realize a 100% happy Seodaemun-gu.”
Seodaemun-gu plans to continue encouraging active administration by discovering excellent cases and selecting outstanding public officials, and will hold a ‘Integrity Popcorn’ education session in September where all employees can communicate and enjoy together.
