However, until the outbreak stabilizes, the crisis level will be maintained at 'Alert' to continue disaster response efforts, including collective protection of high-risk facilities vulnerable to infection.

The detailed measures include △ maintaining the current indoor mask mandate at residential infection-vulnerable facilities and hospital-level medical institutions △ maintaining pre-admission and pre-entry screening tests △ lifting the designation of respiratory patient treatment centers (including one-stop clinics) and transitioning all medical institutions to outpatient COVID-19 patient care systems △ maintaining support systems for high-risk groups such as free provision of therapeutics and vaccines △ partial support for hospitalization treatment costs for severe patients △ ending support for living expenses and paid leave △ transitioning to a sentinel surveillance system.

The Yeongam-gun Public Health Center will continue to provide free testing support at screening clinics for patients before admission, their caregivers, and workers at infection-vulnerable facilities whenever necessary.

An official from the Yeongam-gun Public Health Center stated, “Since respiratory infectious diseases including COVID-19 and influenza continue to occur, special caution is needed especially for high-risk groups,” and urged, “Please adhere well to personal hygiene rules such as wearing masks, practicing cough etiquette, washing hands for more than 30 seconds, and regular ventilation.”
