Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do will conduct the 2023 Jeollanam-do·Yeonggwang-gun Social Survey on 828 sample households in the area from the 1st to the 13th of next month.
According to the county on the 28th, the social survey is a government-approved statistical survey conducted annually to investigate residents' subjective awareness of life and social interests, understand the level of quality of life and changes in social conditions, and use the data as basic materials for future policy development and research.
The main survey items include 30 common questions across 12 sectors such as household·family, consumption·income, health·medical care, housing·transportation, and social·welfare in Jeollanam-do, as well as 15 special questions reflecting the characteristics of Yeonggwang-gun.
This survey, targeting the heads of 828 sample households and household members aged 15 and over, will be conducted through both face-to-face interviews where surveyors visit the target households directly and non-face-to-face methods where questionnaires are delivered and collected.
A county official stated, “The information collected through the social survey is strictly protected under Article 33 (Protection of Confidentiality) of the Statistics Act and will never be used for purposes other than statistics, so residents can rest assured.”
He added, “Since the questionnaires serve as important basic data for policy decisions, we ask for the active cooperation of the residents when surveyors visit.”
