This symposium will bring together experts from industry, academia, research institutes, and hospitals in Korea’s healthcare data industry to diagnose the industrial ecosystem and share insights for the development of the health industry by introducing various studies, including the task of ‘applying and utilizing data standardization related to clinical trial data.’

Composed of three sessions, this event is free of charge. Session 1 will begin with Shin Soo-yong, head of Kakao Healthcare Research Institute, introducing government policies on medical data standardization, followed by the topic ‘The Importance and Current Status of Healthcare Data Standardization.’ In Session 2, ‘Ways to Utilize Healthcare Data,’ Professor Kim Jong-yeop of Konyang University Medical Center, Professor Shin Ju-young of Sungkyunkwan University College of Pharmacy, Professor Yeon Dong-geon of Kyung Hee Medical Center, and Senior Researcher Kwon Jae-hoon of C&R Research will explain the healthcare data industry. The final session will cover the entire healthcare data industry under the theme ‘IT Technology Cases for Digital Transformation,’ ranging from data-utilized clinical research to new drug development.

Additionally, the lounge will feature booths from C&R Research’s clinical research platform Imtrial and BOIM, along with booths from various companies in the health industry, providing opportunities for networking and demonstrations. Imtrial, a clinical platform, manages clinical trials by treatment area as metadata to support clinical research efficiency and data standardization. BOIM is described as an IT solution that enhances the efficiency, convenience, and safety of clinical trial operations to support the best research outcomes.

Yoon Byung-sun, head of the C&R Research Institute, said, “We plan to continuously hold C&R Imagineer events in the future,” adding, “We hope this symposium will accelerate the development of Korea’s healthcare data industry.”

Pre-registration for the event is available online until the 4th of next month.
