First Implementation of the 'Foreign Experienced Employee Recruitment Process'
Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, and Samsung SDI announced on the 28th that the three companies will conduct recruitment of foreign experienced professionals in the research and development (R&D) field.
Samsung has continuously engaged in recruiting activities to secure outstanding R&D talent worldwide, and this year introduced a new 'Foreign Experienced Professional Recruitment Process' for foreign talents wishing to work in Korea.
The foreign personnel hired this time will perform their duties at the domestic business sites of each affiliate on the same basis as domestic employees.
The recruitment targets foreign nationals who are expected to graduate from university by February next year or have already graduated. Applicants wishing to apply can submit their applications through the Samsung recruitment website from today until the 8th of next month.
Samsung plans to select the final successful candidates through document screening in September, interviews in October, and health checkups in November.
An industry insider said, “Samsung’s foreign experienced recruitment is expected to provide relief to the reality where foreign students who came to Korea for study because they like Korea want to stay but have no suitable jobs,” adding, “It is expected not to take away employment opportunities from domestic workers.”
Meanwhile, Samsung is currently conducting experienced professional recruitment targeting domestic talent as well. It plans to announce recruitment notices soon and proceed with the second half new graduate recruitment.
