Samsung Electronics released a campaign video titled 'SmartThings Life with Son Heung-min' on the 28th. SmartThings allows users to complete their own lifestyle by connecting not only Samsung Electronics' products and services but also devices from other companies.
Son Heung-min, who also serves as a Galaxy brand ambassador, introduced various devices connected through SmartThings in an interview format, including home appliances such as TVs, air conditioners, and refrigerators, as well as speakers and lighting. This video is centered around energy saving, entertainment, and health?areas of particular interest to customers among the various experiences SmartThings offers.
Son Heung-min checks the power consumption of home appliances and demonstrates saving energy in daily life through the 'AI Saving Mode,' which activates power-saving mode before electricity rates increase upon reaching a higher usage tier, and the 'Automation & Routine Settings' feature. SmartThings automatically turns off appliances when going out, allowing Son to focus more on his outfit and reduce unnecessary energy consumption.
The video also introduces ways to enjoy leisure time at home more pleasantly by using the 'Music Sync' and 'Hue Sync' functions. Music Sync and Hue Sync change the lighting according to the music played on the Galaxy phone and the content on the TV, respectively. In the video, Son Heung-min enjoys his favorite game more immersively with lighting that changes according to the colors and movements on the screen. Finally, it shows him effectively exercising while monitoring a soccer match on TV. The Galaxy Watch displays real-time data such as heart rate, calories burned, and exercise time on the TV screen.
Son Heung-min said, "It was a meaningful experience to enjoy leisure time more pleasantly and practice energy saving through SmartThings in my busy daily life," adding, "It was easier than I thought because everything was taken care of automatically," sharing his thoughts on participating in the campaign.
