Gwangju Buk-gu, Nationwide Contest for Happy Buk-gu 59-Second Video Festival

On the 27th, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it will hold a contest for the 'Happy Buk-gu 59-Second Video' to promote the charm of Buk-gu nationwide.

The 'Happy Buk-gu 59-Second Video' contest is being held to secure a large number of excellent policy-themed contents about Buk-gu created with fun and creative ideas from the general public, thereby establishing a foundation to introduce Buk-gu to the entire nation.


Anyone interested in Buk-gu, whether as an individual or in a team of up to four people, can participate in this contest. Under the theme 'DIVE IN Happy Buk-gu,' short-form video contents on free topics such as ▲Youth ▲Living SOC ▲Culture and Tourism ▲Refined Daily Life are being solicited.


The videos can be freely formatted original creations with a duration of up to 59 seconds. Submitted works will be evaluated by a panel of experts and through resident voting, and the 10 winning entries will be announced on December 1.


The total prize money is 12 million KRW, with 3 million KRW for one grand prize team, 2 million KRW for one excellence award team, 1 million KRW each for three merit award teams, and 500,000 KRW each for five encouragement award teams. Additionally, 30 participants will receive mobile gifticons worth approximately 50,000 KRW. The winning works will be used for various online promotional contents of Buk-gu.


Those wishing to participate can submit the required documents posted on the Buk-gu Office website along with their video files via email from the 1st of next month until the end of October. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Buk-gu Office Public Relations Office.


A Buk-gu official stated, "We hope to discover innovative videos that can effectively showcase the charm of Buk-gu through this contest," and added, "We will continue to spread the happy image of Buk-gu nationwide through interactive communication using various online media."
