Seoul Gangseo-gu, Midsummer Night's Forest Concert Successfully Concludes

A Performance Plan Enjoyable for All Ages from Children to Seniors

Seoul Gangseo-gu, Midsummer Night's Forest Concert Successfully Concludes The performance of singer Baek Ji-young, who took the stage as a guest on that day

Gangseo-gu District Office and Gangseo Cultural Center in Seoul held the "Midsummer Night's Forest Concert" on the 26th to offer a healing time to residents exhausted by the continuous heatwave.

The concert, held at Heo Jun Neighborhood Park at 6 p.m., was bustling with residents even before the performance began. The audience ranged widely in age, from families with children to elderly seniors. The 700 seats provided were almost fully occupied, making it difficult to find an empty spot.

First, students from Seoul Hoseo Arts Practical School, the only art school in the area, opened the concert with refreshing vocal skills and dazzling performances.

Following this, various genres of performances heated up the event, including an electronic violin performance by "Grace," a popera performance by the male vocal group "La Classe," and lively trot songs by Shin In-seon, a contestant from Mr. Trot.

The five-member fusion girl group "Pastel Girls" energized the audience by presenting fusion gugak (traditional Korean music). The blend of diverse music genres created a vibrant atmosphere at the venue.

The concert, which lasted for three hours, concluded with Baek Ji-young, known as the queen of ballads with numerous hit songs such as "I Don't Love You," "Like Being Shot," and "Candy in My Ear."

Baek Ji-young captivated the audience with her emotionally stirring and powerful vocals. The audience responded with cheers and applause after each song.

An official from the district office said, "We carefully prepared every detail from planning to selecting performers so that people of all ages and genders could enjoy themselves," adding, "We will continue to carry out various cultural projects to expand residents' opportunities to enjoy culture."
