Han Myung-ho, CEO of LX Hausys, Joins 'Single-Use Products Zero Challenge' Han Myung-ho, CEO of LX Hausys.

Han Myung-ho, CEO of LX Hausys, participated on the 24th in the “Single-Use Items Zero Challenge,” a campaign to reduce single-use items in daily life.

The Single-Use Items Zero Challenge is an eco-friendly campaign aimed at reducing the use of single-use items and increasing the use of reusable items in everyday life. It started in February with Minister Han Hwa-jin of the Ministry of Environment and has been conducted in a relay format.

LX Hausys is actively practicing the reduction of single-use items in daily life by all employees, such as using reusable cups instead of paper cups, reducing unnecessary packaging, and separating recyclables. Various employee participation campaigns are also underway, including an in-house exhibition of upcycling products and an internal contest for ideas on carbon neutrality activities.

Since 2018, LX Hausys has contributed to reducing single-use plastics by developing and supplying domestically and internationally a “recycled furniture film” made from PET raw materials recycled from plastic PET bottles. Applying the recycled furniture film to kitchen furniture in an apartment with a net area of 84㎡ (34 pyeong) recycles about 70 PET bottles.

LX Hausys is focusing on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management under the vision of “Innovation for Customers, ESG for the future” by expanding the proportion of products using eco-friendly and recycled materials.

Meanwhile, CEO Han participated in this challenge after being nominated by Choi Won-hyuk, CEO of LX Pantos. He recommended Son Bo-ik, CEO of LX Semicon, and Jeon Hae-sang, CEO of Toray Advanced Materials, as the next participants.
