University Development Fund Donation of 20 Million Won

The Graduate School of Business at Dong-A University held the 2022 Fall semester master's (MBA) degree conferment ceremony.

The ceremony, held on the 22nd at Dawoo Hall on the Bumin Campus, was attended by Kim Wan-jung, Dean of the Graduate School of Business, faculty members, Lee Cheol, President of the MBA Alumni Association, alumni association officials, graduates, and current students.

On this day, Han Ho-jong, president of the MBA Class 55 alumni association, representing the graduates who received their degrees, donated 20 million KRW to the university development fund.

Dean Kim Wan-jung said, "Dong-A University's solid network of 250,000 alumni will be a great support in your lives and will serve as a strong competitive advantage in your business endeavors," adding, "I hope the graduates will continue to learn, develop empathy, and pursue challenges with creative thinking."

In his congratulatory speech, Lee Cheol, President of the MBA Alumni Association, said, "I hope the juniors become open-minded and generous people," and added, "Never forget that your alma mater is behind you, and I hope you become Dong-A people who embody the spirit of Dong-A and dedicate yourselves to the nation and society."

On this day, Han Ho-jong, who received his degree, was awarded the President's Commendation and Academic Excellence Award, and graduate Sung Seok-dong received a special award.

Graduates Kim Geun-young, Kim Jin-hee, Baek Myung-ae, Seo Tae-woong, Lee Mi-jung, Lee Jin-yong, Jang Hyun-nam, Jo Geum-rae, Choi Gil-yong, and Choi Bong-jun received the Dean's Commendation from the Graduate School of Business, while graduates Park Hyo-chul, Jo Jeong-ae, and Lee Yong-jeon received the MBA Alumni Association President's Commendation.

The 'Sung Seok-dong Scholarship,' awarded to outstanding students among the graduates, was given to Han Ho-jong, Baek Myung-ae, Kim Jeong-mi, Choi Gil-yong, and Hwang Kyung-hwa. The 'Sung Seok-dong Scholarship' was established through a business agreement between Dong-A University and Sugun Construction in December 2022, and starting this year, a total of 6 million KRW in scholarships was awarded to top-performing graduates.
