Sejong City to Recruit 'Monitoring Team' for Illegal Fine Dust Emissions This Month

Sejong City announced on the 21st that it will recruit participants for the fine dust illegal emission monitoring team from the 22nd to the 28th.


The monitoring team will consist of a total of 11 members, including one administrative support staff. Anyone aged 18 or older with a driver's license residing in Sejong can apply.


The monitoring activities will take place from October this year to May next year. The main role is to monitor and guide major sources of fine dust emissions such as air pollutant emission facilities, construction sites, and illegal incineration sites.


Applications can be submitted by visiting the Environmental Policy Division of Sejong City Hall or by sending the relevant documents via email.


Sejong City plans to select citizens to participate in the monitoring team through document screening and interviews.

Kim Hoesan, head of the Environmental Policy Division of Sejong City, said, “By operating the monitoring team, we will establish a constant monitoring system for fine dust emission sources to protect citizens' health from fine dust,” and added, “We ask for the public’s active interest and participation in the monitoring team activities.”
