Consumer Agency Expands Free Replacement of Water Tanks for Cracked 'Whisen Dehumidifiers'

Agreement with LG Electronics on 14 Model Water Bottles
Replacement Possible from the 21st Even Without Cracks

The Korea Consumer Agency announced on the 21st that it has confirmed cases where the water tank of the LG Whisen dehumidifier developed cracks without any physical impact, and has agreed to proceed with free replacement measures with the manufacturer for all products.

The affected products are water tanks of 14 models including the Whisen dehumidifier DQ202PBBC. Previously, the Consumer Agency and LG Electronics only replaced water tanks with cracks that occurred after the 20th of last month among these models. However, considering potential concerns about cracks and breakage, they decided to expand free replacement to water tanks without visible cracks starting from this day.

Consumers who own the products can apply for water tank replacement through the LG Electronics customer center or website. The Consumer Agency stated, "We will continue to monitor products distributed in the market and actively strive to create a market environment where consumers can engage in consumption with peace of mind."
