Gyeonggi Province will conduct child abuse prevention education until November.
On the 20th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will carry out the 'Triangle Cooperation Education,' a customized child abuse prevention education program for children, caregivers, and teachers, from this month until November.
The Triangle Cooperation Education focuses on providing tailored education to children enrolled in daycare centers, their caregivers, and teachers, connecting the three groups to maximize the effectiveness of child abuse prevention.
Earlier in July, Gyeonggi Province recruited 15 daycare centers as education targets. The education content for each group includes child rights education and child abuse prevention for children, parenting skills such as discipline and corporal punishment for caregivers, and awareness of child abuse boundaries for teachers.
Gyeonggi Province will conduct a total of six sessions per daycare center, with two sessions each for children, caregivers, and teachers. Upon completion of the education, institutions will be awarded a plaque recognizing them as a 'Woori Aiji Keeper Education Completion Institution.'
Yoo So-jeong, head of the Child Care Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Through in-depth education beyond one-time sessions, we can enhance the effectiveness of child abuse prevention," adding, "Since there has been high demand for education, we will strive to expand the program next year."
The 'Gyeonggi Province Child Abuse Prevention Project,' promoted by Gyeonggi Province, has been entrusted to the Gyeonggi Women's Family Foundation since last year. The child abuse prevention education for residents consists of two programs: Woori Aiji Keeper Education and Triangle Cooperation Education.
Woori Aiji Keeper Education has been providing customized education since April until September, dispatching professional instructors once per institution to a total of 30 institutions, targeting 1,645 people including child safety keepers, foster family parents, and childcare staff.
