at Damyang Cultural Center Grand Hall, Honam Philharmonic Orchestra's Classical Concert
Jellanam-do Damyang-gun announced on the 18th that the concert "A World Tour through Music," where audiences can experience classical music from around the world, will be held on the 23rd at 7 PM at the Damyang Culture Center Grand Theater.
This concert is hosted by the Nurim Association, with support from Jeollanam-do, Damyang-gun, and the Jeonnam Cultural Foundation.
As the first performance of the 2023 Resident Performing Groups Support Project, it will feature classical pieces that have received the most positive response from local residents.
The program is designed to give the feeling of traveling the world by region, featuring popular and famous composers such as Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Puccini, and Verdi.
The performance will be filled with wonderful harmony under the baton of conductor Han Sang-wook, with the Honam Philharmonic Orchestra, flutist Park Hee-won, soprano Jung Da-eun, and tenor Yoo Shin-hee.
County Governor Lee Byung-no said, "Through the Resident Performing Groups Support Project, we will showcase a variety of performances that span all generations at the newly renovated Damyang Culture Center to satisfy the diverse cultural needs of our residents."
Meanwhile, Damyang-gun plans to hold one attractive performance each month from this month through December as part of the Resident Performing Groups Support Project, which will be loved by local residents. In September, to celebrate Chuseok, a twilight photo event and the musical drama "Mother's Life" will be held on the 20th at the Damyang Culture Center.
