2023 Model to Be Delivered to Customers This Month
Increased Mileage and Enhanced Features
Audi's electric sports utility vehicles (SUVs), the Q4 40 e-tron and Sportback 40 e-tron, will be delivered to customers within this month. These models, which began accepting pre-orders in June, are expected to see a slight increase in subsidies as their driving range has improved.
First introduced in Korea in September last year, these compact segment pure electric SUVs attracted attention and were all sold out within two months of launch. The company explained that the driving range has increased and the product appeal has been enhanced through a model year update.
Both models deliver a combined maximum output of 204 horsepower and a maximum torque of 31.6 kg·m. The top speed is 160 km/h (safety limited). They are equipped with an 82 kWh lithium-ion battery. On a single charge, the Q4 e-tron can travel 411 km (combined standard), and the Sportback model can travel 409 km. The previous 2022 model had a cruising range of around 360 km, so this is an improvement. The company stated that the vehicles are suitable for both daily urban driving and long-distance travel. There are five driving modes to choose from.
The front of the vehicle features an octagonal single-frame grille with vertical struts, highlighting its electric vehicle identity. The design emphasizes a dynamic impression with a shortened front overhang and details such as the steering wheel. The premium models come with matrix LED headlights that offer high visibility. These headlights are brighter and more densely arranged than regular LEDs, expanding the visible range. The digital light signature function allows customers to choose from four light designs according to their preference.
Various driving assistance systems are included, such as Side Assist, which flashes warning lights on the side mirrors when a vehicle approaches in the blind spot, adaptive cruise assist, and lane keeping assist. There are also front and rear parking assist systems. The vehicles use Volkswagen Group’s electric vehicle dedicated platform MEB, which increases the front wheel steering angle, reducing the turning radius to 10.2 meters. The head-up display applies augmented reality (AR) technology. Additionally, the cars are equipped with MIMI (MIMI) Navigation Plus, Audi smartphone interface, and various infotainment systems.
The MyAudiWorld application allows users to check comprehensive vehicle information. Tailored to electric vehicle characteristics, it offers various convenience features such as finding and reserving charging stations, confirming charging completion, and credit card linkage. Charging on-demand service is also available on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through charging proxy service. Any official dealer guarantees a basic warranty of 5 years or a maximum mileage of 150,000 km.
The price for the Q4 e-tron is 61.7 million KRW, and the Premium version is 68.7 million KRW. The Sportback model is priced at 65.7 million KRW, and the Sportback Premium at 72.7 million KRW. Prices may vary depending on some interior and exterior options.
