The Webtoon Convergence Center, commissioned and operated by the Korea Manhwa Contents Agency, is a leading domestic webtoon-related cluster space spanning from basement level 3 to the 12th floor above ground, and is scheduled to open in September.

The Webtoon Convergence Center was established to lead the webtoon convergence content market. By attracting successful tenants such as diverse creative teams and excellent content companies, it will serve as a core base for cultural industrialization linking various convergence businesses based on webtoon IP.

The briefing session was held on the 14th at the screening room on the first floor of the Korea Manhwa Museum. The session included △ an introduction to the Webtoon Convergence Center △ a presentation by Choi Yong-seok, a researcher at the Future Industry Strategy Institute, on the topic "Global Hub Cluster Prospects and Policy Tasks through Webtoon Industry Agglomeration" △ explanations on tenant recruitment for the Convergence Center and a Q&A session.

In particular, the briefing session included an on-site tour of the tenant rooms for those who had pre-registered. Guidance was also provided on various workspaces and shared facilities inside the Webtoon Convergence Center, including creative rooms, corporate offices, meeting rooms, and educational spaces.

Applications for tenants at the Webtoon Convergence Center will open on the 17th and close at 5 p.m. on the 25th. They are recruiting 21 creative teams in the fields of comics, webtoons, and web novels, as well as 8 excellent companies in the webtoon-based convergence content sector. Selected tenants will begin moving in from October and will sign a two-year lease contract until September 2025, with the possibility of extending up to six years through future evaluations.

Lee Mi-jung, head of the Cluster Development Team at the Korea Manhwa Contents Agency, said, “Through this tenant recruitment briefing and on-site tour, we were able to confirm great interest in the Webtoon Convergence Center. As this year is the first year of the center’s opening and tenant move-in, we look forward to applications from capable creators and excellent companies.”
