A festival of summer flowers unfolds across the Nakdong River Ecological Park!
The Nakdong River Management Headquarters of Busan City announced that visitors can enjoy a variety of summer flowers along the main routes of Nakdong River Ecological Parks such as Samnak, Hwamyung, and Maekdo.
First, at Hwamyung Ecological Park, you can see pure white hydrangeas blooming along approximately 1.2 km in both directions, from Dongwonjin Bridge (Daecheon Stream) to Metasequoia Road. Around the park's trails, you can also find colorful seasonal flowers such as cosmos and cockscomb.
Along the roadside in Samnak Ecological Park, cosmos and yellow cosmos create a "fluttering" spectacle, while near parking lots 8 and 9, water lilies reveal their beautiful forms on the lotus wetlands.
At Maekdo Ecological Park, the "Hajungdo Wetlands," known as a habitat for winter migratory birds, feature a large lotus flower complex. Visitors can use the walking deck within the complex to view the lotus flowers up close.
Kim Yujin, head of the Nakdong River Management Headquarters, said, "I hope that people weary from the long rainy season and heatwave can find some comfort by enjoying the summer flowers." He added, "We will continue to plant various flowers each season within the Nakdong River Ecological Park to provide beautiful sights year-round."
