Daegu Happiness Promotion Agency Announces Recruitment for 'Blockchain Youth Startup School' Trainees

Daegu City Happiness Promotion Social Service Center (Director Jeong Soon-cheon) is recruiting the first batch of students for the 'Blockchain-based Youth Startup School' until the 31st of this month.


This 'Blockchain School' was established to activate the blockchain-based ecosystem in Daegu City through education for youth startups based on blockchain and growth support, and any youth can apply.

The first batch of education will be conducted for four months from September 1 to December 31, and applications can be made individually or as a team.


The program consists of a one-stop program supporting all processes from theory to startup, including Stage 1: blockchain and digital asset theory and practical training (8 days), Stage 2: exploration of blockchain-based startup models (7 days), Stage 3: selection of highly feasible startup models (3 days), Stage 4: practical startup and growth support, and Stage 5: business activation monitoring and support for difficulties.


Professor Park Sung-joon, director of the Blockchain Research Center at Dongguk University, will lead the theoretical education, and Professor Choi Se-woong, head of the Dongguk University Research Center, will lead the practical training.


This program will be operated in three batches in total, with the '1st batch course' starting in September, the '2nd batch course' in January 2024, and the '3rd batch course' in May 2024, each consisting of a four-month educational program.


Jeong Soon-cheon, director of Daegu Happiness Promotion Center, said, "Since the launch of the Promotion Center, we have conducted various youth participation programs, and there have been many requests from local youth for specialized education programs on blockchain," adding, "We will continue to create various programs reflecting the voices of youth in the field."
