Hampyeong-gun conducted a simulation drill to strengthen the on-site response capabilities of facility management departments in the event of a disaster and to minimize human and material losses.
On the 13th, Jeollanam-do Hampyeong-gun announced that it had conducted the "Major Citizen Disaster Emergency Situation Preparedness Simulation Drill" on the 10th.
The drill was jointly conducted by the Safety Management Division's River Facilities Team and Major Disaster Team in the Deputy Governor's Office under the leadership of Deputy Governor Im Man-gyu.
The drill simulated a situation where a major citizen disaster occurred due to the collapse of the right bank embankment of the Hampyeongcheon River, District 2, in Hampyeong-eup caused by a typhoon.
Through this drill, the county revised its manual to systematically respond to realistically possible emergency situations.
Additionally, the facility management departments reviewed and familiarized themselves with their obligations under the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
Jung Hoon-seok, head of the Safety Management Division, said, "Through this drill, we thoroughly checked the emergency response manual for major citizen disasters," and added, "We will continue to do our best to protect the lives and property of residents from disasters by preparing and responding swiftly."
