The Cheongmok Art Museum (Chairman Park Hyung-sik) opened in Jeonju in February 2021. It has been dedicated to collecting and preserving art materials from the Jeonbuk region, as well as exhibiting, investigating, and researching them. The museum contributes to the promotion of visual arts culture in the province and expands opportunities for residents to appreciate visual arts.

"Flames of Jeonbuk III" is the second consecutive year that the Cheongmok Art Museum has presented this planned exhibition to the residents, following "Flames of Jeonbuk I & II" last year.

The exhibition features works by five mid-career and emerging artists who play a pivotal role in Jeonbuk: Kim Sumi, Baek Sinhye, Lee Cheolgyu, Jang Seokwon, and Jeong Yuri.

Curator Kim Seonnam stated, "We wanted to deliver messages of comfort and hope to the residents of Jeonbuk through works like 'Flames of Jeonbuk.' We ask for passionate interest and support so that the five artists can blaze even stronger flames."

Meanwhile, on the 16th, an artist talk and a live drawing program using pure gold leaf will be held as part of the opening events.

"Flames of Jeonbuk III" is free to view at the first-floor exhibition hall of the Cheongmok Art Museum and is closed on Mondays. For more details, please contact the Cheongmok Art Museum.
