Winning Large-Scale Catering Contracts and Entering Military Catering Market
Full-Scale Expansion of Outsourced Catering Business

Pulmuone Food & Culture, a food service specialist company affiliated with Pulmuone, announced on the 11th that its consignment catering sales in the first half of this year reached 168.2 billion KRW, an increase of 58.5% compared to the first half of 2019 before COVID-19.

Consignment catering is a major business that provides meal services to various channels such as industrial sites, offices, universities, military, and hospitals, accounting for more than half of Pulmuone Food & Culture's total sales.


In the first half of 2020, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, concession and rest area businesses were hit, prompting Pulmuone Food & Culture to shift its business direction toward expanding consignment catering. In 2021 and 2022, the company focused on securing large-scale catering sites, broadening its business scope. In the second half of 2021, it also entered new military catering markets such as the Army and Air Force.


The company is accelerating new contracts and renewals for large-scale sites. As of the first half of this year, the proportion of sales from large-scale sites compared to total site sales is about 65%, an increase of 21% compared to the first half of 2019.


Lee Dong-hoon, CEO of Pulmuone Food & Culture, stated, "In the second half of the year, we plan to actively expand the consignment catering business centered on large-scale sites to continue sales growth and profit expansion. We will continue to respond quickly to market changes and provide services that meet customer expectations to continuously enhance corporate value."
