Record High Number of Products Sold Amid Rising Demand
Able Corporation's style commerce platform 'Abley' announced on the 10th that the transaction amount of its fast delivery service 'Shakchulbal' in the second quarter of this year increased by 130% compared to the same period last year.
Abley launched Shakchulbal in July 2021. It is a service that ships products on the same day if ordered before 6 p.m. on weekdays. The number of Shakchulbal orders in the second quarter increased by 110% compared to the same period last year. Even in July, considered an off-season for the fashion industry, Shakchulbal's transaction amount increased 3.9 times (290%) and the number of orders increased 3.6 times (260%) two years after its launch. Due to the increased demand for fast delivery, the total number of products sold on Abley in July surpassed 7 million, achieving an all-time high.
Abley analyzed that the key to this success was improving fast delivery operational efficiency through its 'style-specialized urban fulfillment center.' Typically, e-commerce companies' fulfillment centers are located on the outskirts of the metropolitan area, but Abley's fulfillment center is located in Seongsu-dong, near the Dongdaemun wholesale market in Seoul.
Kang Seok-hoon, CEO of Abley, said, "From the early days of the startup, we have spared no effort in proactive investment in fulfillment and have steadily developed operational know-how. This effort seems to be shining in conjunction with the explosive growth of the online shopping market," adding, "We will continue to develop our capabilities as a style-specialized fulfillment center and strengthen our logistics competitiveness."
