Namwon-si, Jeonbuk, operates the ‘Youth and Middle-aged Job Center’ for job seekers, where a professional career counselor, the Middle-aged Job Manager, is stationed to provide employment counseling and accompaniment interview services.
According to the city on the 9th, the ‘Youth and Middle-aged Job Center,’ located next to the Namwon Employment Welfare Plus Center, is a cafe-style space where job seekers can freely engage in job search activities.
It is also equipped with job and startup-related books, a coffee machine, as well as fax and computer facilities, allowing job seekers to receive customized services such as resume writing assistance with the help of employment counselors.
The city is greatly contributing to resolving local employment issues by matching job seekers with desired jobs through tailored counseling by Middle-aged Job Managers, accompanying job seekers to interviews, and job placement for vulnerable employment groups, as well as addressing job mismatches desired by companies through consultations with employers.
A city official stated, “We plan to provide more job seekers with broader opportunities for career counseling and employment through outreach job counseling and ‘company visits’ at specialized high schools.”
