Bus Carrying 36 Swiss Students Collides with City Bus

A bus carrying participants of the '2023 World Scout Jamboree' in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, collided with a city bus.

According to the Jamboree Organizing Committee on the 9th, two buses collided in front of the Suncheon Youth Training Center located in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, that afternoon. It was confirmed that three foreigners on the Jamboree participant bus sustained minor injuries in the accident.

One bus was reported to be carrying 38 people, including 36 members of the Swiss delegation participating in the Jamboree, one chaperone, and one driver. The other bus had five people on board, including one driver and four students.

Due to the influence of Typhoon 'Khanun,' the Jamboree, which was underway in Saemangeum, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, changed accommodations and activity locations in eight cities and provinces nationwide the previous day. However, it was announced that no accommodations were assigned in Jeollanam-do.
