Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) is recruiting eight companies to occupy flexible seating type shared office spaces at the Gangbuk Startup Support Center until the 11th.
The Gangbuk Startup Support Center is located on the 4th floor of Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru (123 Nohae-ro 23-gil, Gangbuk-gu), established in April last year. To support the initial growth foundation of startups, the district provides office space at the Gangbuk Startup Support Center free of charge. Currently, 13 startups from various industries are residing in the center.
The recruitment target is prospective entrepreneurs aged 15 or older with growth potential residing in Seoul (preference given to Gangbuk-gu residents) or early-stage entrepreneurs within five years of establishment. Companies wishing to move in must submit the application form, resident registration certificate, consent form for collection and use of personal information, and other required documents via email to the person in charge by the 11th.
The district will select resident companies on the 23rd after internal evaluations, including a first-round document screening and a second-round presentation assessment. Resident companies can receive support such as capacity building education, mentoring, and management consulting from about 130 experts across 15 fields. They will also be provided with various startup incubation services, including commercialization support (differential support up to 2 million KRW), investment linkage, and visits to innovative companies.
The residency period is until December 31, 2023, but can be extended up to three years through annual renewal evaluations at the Gangbuk Startup Support Center.
