Lotte World, Vacation-Oriented Events ... Gwangalli Pop-up Store and More Openings

On the 4th, Lotte World showcased a variety of new content using IP both online and offline as part of its open innovation projects.


They opened a food and beverage popup store and event booths in collaboration with startups at Busan Gwangalli, a representative summer tourist destination, and Lotte World Busan. Alongside this, they launched a new mobile game exclusive to Lotte World Busan, offering a fresh experience.


First, near the popular bar Fisherman in Busan Gwangalli, they are operating a PUB-style popup store called ‘THE GOOD VIBE LOTTY - LOTTY'S SNACK BAR.’


This popup store was planned as part of the Open Innovation project by the Arts Management Support Center. Utilizing the spin-off IP ‘The Good Vibe Lotty’ of Lotte World’s iconic character ‘Lotty,’ which has been loved for over 30 years, the space is designed to communicate with the MZ generation outside the theme park.


The popup store is conceptualized to align with the MZ generation’s trends that emphasize empathy, fun, and leisure.


‘Lotty,’ who used to only care about work, was spending a boring time at home during a long vacation when suddenly a Busan seagull flew in through the window and took ‘Lotty’ to a pub in Gwangalli.


The story is about ‘Lotty’ enjoying a true vacation, welcomed by people who recognize him inside the pub, creating a fun concept that resonates with everyday life.


The menu available here is also trendy. Visitors can experience various collaborative menus with regional brands such as ‘Namyeongtak’ from Yongsan, popular among trendsetters known as ‘Matjalal,’ the craft beer brand ‘Gaehangro’ from Incheon, and ‘The Good Vibe Beer,’ a beer born from collaboration between Lotte World and the craft beer brand Seven Bro.


The popup store will operate until the 27th. Various on-site events are also underway, including discounts on Lotte World Busan comprehensive tickets for purchasers.

Inside the theme park, the ‘LOTCAL SPLASH STORE’ booth, collaborating with startups and small business owners possessing excellent content from Busan Gwangalli, will operate during the same period.


Lotte World expects this event to contribute to supporting the economic independence of small business owners through the linkage of regional cultural projects and local food.


The popup booth, installed near the popular attraction ‘Giant Splash’ that creates a huge water splash, exhibits and sells various popular local desserts such as Busan’s Moko cake, Omija slush made from Mungyeong Saejae specialties, and plum bread from Gunwi specialties.


Additionally, they have launched a mobile experiential game called ‘Magic Forest Adventure,’ which can only be enjoyed at Lotte World Adventure Busan.


Developed with support from the Korea Creative Content Agency, this game is based on the theme story of Lotte World Adventure Busan and centers on the adventure of Knight Lotty to save Queen Lori.


The game includes three AR-based games: a treasure hunt that allows players to roam around the theme park, a water blast targeting the summer season, and an escape room that fully conveys Busan’s story. There are also four mini-games ideal for playing while waiting in line for attractions.


A Lotte World official said, “Various prize events, including AirPods Max, based on game scores will be held alongside various experiences, so please don’t miss out.”


Lotte World plans to continue new forms of technological collaboration such as NFC tagging-based authentication solutions and AI-based TTV (Text to Video) tests together with the Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center.
