On the morning of the 5th, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency announced that a threatening post saying, "I heard stabbing rampages are trending these days, so maybe I'll go to Songdo Dalbit Festival Park," was posted on an online community.

The Pentaport Rock Festival, held at Songdo Dalbit Festival Park in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, opened on the 4th.

The Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, which continues for three days until the 6th, is scheduled to feature over 50 domestic and international rock music acts, including the world-renowned British post-punk rock band The Strokes, Kim Chang-wan Band, Ellegarden, Kim Yoon-ah, and Saesoyon.

A netizen who saw the post reported it to 112, and the post has since been deleted.

The police are tracking the author and plan to deploy six special forces members, including a tactical team and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit, as well as an armored vehicle near the festival site around 3 p.m. that day. In addition, they plan to add 20 more officers to the 40 riot police already stationed around the festival area.

It is expected that 150,000 spectators will visit the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival over the three days.

The police are preparing to prevent safety accidents and are concentrating forces in densely crowded areas.

Earlier, on the afternoon of the 4th, police forces were patrolling Ori Station in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province. After the "Seohyeon Station random stabbing" incident, another post threatening a "murder at Ori Station" was made online, leading to the emergency deployment of 98 personnel in the Bundang area of Seongnam-si.

As recent "random violent crimes" have continued, the People Power Party and the National Police Agency decided to conduct "special police activities." This involves mobilizing all available riot police forces and conducting visible patrols in densely crowded areas. The special police security activities will be carried out without a set end date until the public feels safe.
