Fans and summer blankets were delivered to 45 vulnerable households, including elderly living alone and low-income families vulnerable to the heatwave, and their well-being was checked.
Kim Jeong-sook, chairperson of the Community Security Council, said, "We provided summer supplies so that neighbors struggling with unprecedented heat can stay a little cooler and healthier," adding, "We will continue to practice love and sharing for neighbors in need within the community."
Lee Chang-hoon, head of Sansu 2-dong, said, "I hope the summer supplies delivered this time will help our neighbors in need overcome the hot summer," emphasizing, "We will continue to build a tight welfare safety net with local self-help organizations to ensure no neighbor is left isolated."
