On the 4th, a police agency official stated during a press briefing at 2 p.m., "The results of the psychopathy diagnostic test for Joseon confirmed that he meets the criteria for a psychopath," adding, "Since there is a possibility of variation, it is difficult to provide an exact score." To meet the psychopathy criteria in the Psychopathy Checklist-Revised (PCL-R), a total score of 25 out of 40 points must be exceeded.

The Gwanak Police Station in Seoul conducted the psychopathy diagnostic test on Joseon on the 26th of last month. Initially, the police planned to conduct the test on the 25th, but Joseon postponed it repeatedly, stating he wanted to write a self-statement to organize his emotions. Subsequently, Joseon alternated between consenting and refusing, ultimately agreeing to the test the following day. The test was conducted through interviews by three profilers.

Joseon is accused of committing a stabbing rampage in the Sillim-dong area on the 21st of last month, killing one person and injuring three others. The victims had no prior acquaintance with Joseon. During the police investigation, Joseon reportedly claimed to be suffering from depression. However, according to data received from the National Health Insurance Service, there have been no records of mental illness treatment since 2013.

The police detained and transferred Joseon on charges including murder on the 28th of last month. While being transported in a police vehicle, Joseon responded to reporters' questions asking, "Why did you do it?" by saying, "I'm sorry."
