Support and Attendance at the ‘Hue Hwangsil Yesuldan’ Performance
Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 4th that the Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietnam, and his delegation visited the county office before the evening performance of the Vietnamese performance team ‘Hue Royal Art Troupe,’ invited to the 33rd Geochang International Theater Festival, strengthening friendship through mutual exchange between Thua Thien Hue Province and Geochang-gun.
The Vietnamese ‘Hue Royal Art Troupe’ participated in this Geochang International Theater Festival along with a Kazakhstani team through the recommendation of the Korea Headquarters of the International Silk Road Cultural Alliance.
The delegation from Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietnam, visited Korea at the invitation of Chairman Oh Tae-geun, who is the director of the Korea Headquarters of the International Silk Road Cultural Alliance and the chairman of the Gomanaru International Theater Festival Executive Committee in the Gongju area, to support and watch the performance of the ‘Hue Royal Art Troupe’ participating in the Geochang International Theater Festival.

Governor Gu In-mo said, “We welcome the visit of the delegation from Thua Thien Hue Province, the political, economic, and cultural center of central Vietnam,” adding, “We hope to build a cooperative relationship through continuous exchanges with Thua Thien Hue, starting from the performing arts sector and expanding to tourism, culture, economy, and other various fields through consultations between practitioners, leading to a progressive relationship.”
Meanwhile, a direct flight route between Hue, Vietnam and Incheon Airport was established from August 1, making it easier for many Korean tourists to visit Hue.
Thua Thien Hue Province is the capital of the last Vietnamese dynasty, the Nguyen Dynasty, and the capital city of Thua Thien Hue Province in central Vietnam. It is a representative historical site of Vietnam and was registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site in 1993.
The Hue Royal Art Troupe performs with traditional Vietnamese instruments such as the dan tranh, dan sao, flute, drum, and janggu, producing very elegant and beautiful music that embodies Vietnam’s unique culture and history, helping to understand Vietnamese traditional culture.
