Huons Meditech, a medical device specialist company under the Huons Group, announced on the 1st that it has launched the premium extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter 'URO-EMXD,' which improves image quality and enhances procedural convenience.
The URO-EMXD is a magnetic-type extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter designed to easily detect urinary stones inside the body. Equipped with a stone detection detector, it can quickly locate the position of the stones, and by using the reflector moving function, it minimizes patient movement to enable smooth procedures. The reflector is a shock wave generating device inside the lithotripter, and the movement of the reflector is said to significantly reduce the degree of pain experienced by patients during the procedure.
The URO-EMXD boasts excellent shock wave performance and, unlike existing products that require surgical removal, offers shorter procedure times and faster recovery.
Huons Meditech plans to expand its lineup of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripters. Following the launch of the affordable detector lithotripter URO-MXD in May, the company is preparing to release a new model in the second half of this year that incorporates ultrasound to distinguish between permeable and non-permeable stones.
A Huons Meditech representative stated, "The URO-EMXD is a product that enhances convenience not only for the operator but also for the patient," adding, "We will lead the domestic and international medical device markets with excellent performance and reasonable pricing."
