Toss Bank announced on the 1st that the number of its registered customers has surpassed 7 million.
According to Toss Bank, the cumulative number of registered customers increased to 1.25 million by the end of 2021 and 3.6 million as of the first half of last year. As of the end of July, the number reached 7 million, nearly doubling in one year. On average, 11,000 new customers joined daily.
Looking at the age distribution, people in their 20s accounted for the largest share at 26%, followed by those in their 30s (23%), 40s (23%), and 50s and above (22%). For teenagers, since bank account registration is limited to those aged 17 and older, the share was about 6%. Approximately 8 out of 10 customers (76%) actively used their accounts, with an average deposit of 2.74 million KRW per person.
Toss Bank’s "Receive Interest Now" service was used 240 million times by 3.73 million customers, and the "Early Interest Fixed Deposit" exceeded 3.5 trillion KRW in deposits within four months. The "Lump Sum Investment" product achieved cumulative sales of 2.5 trillion KRW.
Meanwhile, ahead of its 2nd anniversary, Toss Bank declared a new corporate mission: "To provide a new banking experience that you cannot go back from." Instead of simply increasing market share, this means ▲creating new markets, ▲transforming customers’ lives, and ▲continuously developing products and services that customers cannot give up once they use them.
