On the 31st of last month, local media such as Japan News Post Seven reported that the Hokkaido police arrested Tamura Runa (29) and her father, psychiatrist Tamura Shuu (59), on the 24th on charges of corpse mutilation and abandonment. The next day, Runa's mother, Tamura Hiroko (60), was also arrested on the same charges.

As a result of a police search of their home, items presumed to be body parts of the victim, Mr. A (62, male), were found in the bathroom of the Tamura family house.

In May, when Runa was struggling with gender identity confusion, she attended related events. There, she met Mr. A at a club in Susukino.

It is reported that Runa harbored resentment after being sexually assaulted by Mr. A, who was cross-dressed.

Additionally, during this process, Mr. A filmed the sexual assault scene and used it as leverage to continuously contact and stalk Runa.

Runa's grandfather stated, "Runa disliked men. She thought Mr. A, whom she met at the club, was a woman because he was wearing women's clothes," and added, "(Mr. A) took her to a love hotel, saying it was a good place for the two of them, and as soon as they entered the hotel, he revealed his true nature and sexually assaulted Runa."

He continued, "When I asked Runa why she didn't report it to the police, she said, '(Mr. A) promised not to do it again and said he would never show up again, so I resolved it.' However, Mr. A broke his promise and kept contacting Runa," he added.

The police secured testimony from neighbors that Runa's father, Shuu, often ate convenience store lunch boxes or cup noodles in front of their house every day. The investigation authorities stated, "Before this incident, Mr. A had broken into the Tamura family home, and Shuu seemed to eat at the door out of fear that he would come again, trying to protect his daughter."

On the 1st, the day the incident occurred, Mr. A, who participated in a disco event held in Sapporo, was wearing a silver sparkling belly shirt and heavy makeup. It is presumed that after enjoying the event, Mr. A entered a hotel with Runa and was murdered there.

During police questioning, Runa stated that she suffers from dissociative identity disorder, also known as "multiple personality disorder," and said, "There are several personalities inside me. One of them committed the crime."

Based on this statement, some speculate that the crime was planned by her father Shuu and executed by Runa. The mother, Hiroko, who was arrested for aiding and abetting the murder, claims, "I never thought my daughter would actually commit murder."

Earlier, on the 2nd of last month, a hotel employee discovered the mutilated body of a man in the bathroom of a guest room and reported it to the police. Through closed-circuit television (CCTV), the police confirmed that Runa, who checked in with the man the previous day, left the hotel alone carrying a travel bag in the early morning.

At that time, it was also found that Runa's father purchased the murder tools with his daughter just before the incident and picked her up by car after the crime, indicating premeditation of the crime.
