Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 31st that it will hold a special consumer discount event for the Jeongeup public delivery app throughout next month.
The Jeongeup-type public delivery app ‘Wemakeprice O,’ a key pledge of Jeongeup City’s 8th elected administration, has been successfully established since its launch in May, recording over 18,000 orders (sales of approximately 460 million KRW) through various discount benefits.
The number of orders in May, when the public delivery app was launched, was 4,310 (sales of about 105 million KRW), and in June, it recorded 6,872 orders (sales of about 171 million KRW).
As of July 23, it has recorded 7,481 orders (sales of about 187 million KRW), receiving great responses from citizens.
Building on this response, the city will implement a special consumer discount event next month, offering a delivery fee discount coupon of up to 3,000 KRW once daily, a 5,000 KRW discount coupon for first-time buyers next month, and a 4,000 KRW payback on the second order.
In particular, next month, to promote the development of traditional markets, a Traditional Market Section has been opened where traditional market products can be bundled and delivered via ‘Wemakeprice O.’
The city will also run a special discount event for the Traditional Market Section, providing a 5,000 KRW discount coupon to first-time customers and a 4,000 KRW delivery fee discount coupon once daily.
Additionally, separate from the discount events, customers paying with Jeongeup Love Gift Certificates can receive a 10% discount benefit and a 1% payback on the payment amount, offering abundant benefits.
Mayor Lee Hak-su said, “I hope the public delivery app will serve as an opportunity to stabilize management for local small business owners struggling due to the downturn in the consumer economy and to revitalize traditional markets, while easing the financial burden on consumers and laying the foundation for economic revitalization. Through the August discount event, I hope the Jeongeup-type public delivery app can be of some help to all citizens.”
