Creating an Integrated and Harmonious Street Image

On the 31st, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it will form a public design advisory group to create an integrated and harmonious street image.

The advisory group will provide consultation on the form, material, color, and harmony with the surrounding environment of public buildings, public spaces, public facilities, and visual media commissioned by the city. The city plans to comprehensively and systematically manage urban design by reflecting the advisory group's opinions in projects.

The advisory group will consist of about seven experts in various fields such as public design, visual design, architecture, and landscaping, selected from the Icheon City Public Design Promotion Committee members. Consultations will be conducted frequently from the early stages of projects whenever requested by the project departments.

Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon City, said, "Until now, public facilities such as bus stops, streetlights, and guide signs were installed separately by each project department, resulting in a lack of uniformity. Through the operation of the public design advisory group, we will create a harmonious and pleasant urban image."
