Scaled Agile and Open Source Consulting Join Forces
'Enterprise Agile' Business Agreement
LG CNS is forming a 'tripartite alliance' to fully launch enterprise Agile in the domestic market. Agile is a methodology that accelerates software development speed and refers to a culture of working flexibly and quickly. It has typically been used in small projects with fewer than 50 people. Enterprise Agile is designed to be applied to projects involving hundreds or more participants.
On the 31st, LG CNS announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with 'Open Source Consulting' and the global enterprise Agile framework provider 'Scaled Agile.' The three companies will jointly discover and promote app modernization business opportunities based on enterprise Agile.

Scaled Agile owns the enterprise Agile framework called ‘SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).’ SAFe accounts for more than 50% of the global market share in enterprise Agile. It is adopted by 70% of Fortune 100 companies. Additionally, SAFe consists of ▲over 110 collaboration tools and industry-specific application cases ▲management and evaluation methods for Agile ▲customized educational content for customers.
LG CNS will strengthen its app modernization business based on SAFe. AM refers to building and improving applications using the latest cloud technologies tailored to customers’ business needs. For this, an Agile approach that communicates with customers in real time and swiftly reflects their requirements is essential.
LG CNS established the 'Agile Development Team' within the Build Center, a specialized AM organization, in 2020. Currently, about 100 Agile experts are positioned company-wide, including the Agile Development Team. LG CNS has built ▲non-fungible token (NFT) platforms ▲home appliance applications ▲banking systems based on Agile. Through this agreement, LG CNS plans to strengthen enterprise Agile capabilities by incorporating Scaled Agile’s global best practices and nurture SAFe professional consultants.
Open Source Consulting, a specialized Agile education and service company, formed a partnership with Scaled Agile in 2020 and has produced over 2,000 Agile education graduates. It has organized the Agile Transformation (AX) team, a dedicated service organization composed of professional Agile coaches, and is actively conducting enterprise Agile consulting for companies in the finance and security sectors.
Kim Tae-hoon, Executive Vice President and Head of the Cloud Business Division at LG CNS, emphasized, "This tripartite agreement is meaningful in that it goes beyond the spread of enterprise Agile to jointly promote the app modernization business. We will innovate business value by enhancing corporate agility through rapid launch of new services and swift reflection of requirements."
