Nongshim Kellogg's Re-releases Nostalgic Cereal 'Honey Chex'

Nongshim Kellogg's announced on the 31st that it will exclusively re-release the nostalgic cereal "Honey Chex" both online and offline at Lotte Mart and Lotte Super in response to continuous consumer requests.

Honey Chex was discontinued in 2018 but had formed a solid fan base due to its flavor combining the sweetness of honey and the savory taste of corn. It had been receiving ongoing requests for re-release. As consumers even began directly importing the product from overseas, increasing demand for domestic sales, Nongshim Kellogg's decided to bring back Honey Chex after more than five years.

Nongshim Kellogg's faithfully recreated the sweet flavor of Honey Chex. In particular, it uses honey cultivated in Australia to deliver a healthily sweet taste, with a subtle honey aroma blending with the savory corn flavor to provide a deep richness. Additionally, its distinctive honeycomb shape adds a crispy texture, making it delicious not only as a cereal but also as a snack. Above all, it contains 5g of protein per 100g, equivalent to one boiled egg, along with dietary fiber, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, niacin, folic acid, and other nutrients, ensuring a balanced nutritional profile.

A Nongshim Kellogg's representative stated, "In response to fan consumers in 2020, we received explosive feedback with the launch of Chex Paw flavor, and once again, we are responding to consumer requests by re-releasing Honey Chex. We will continue to actively communicate with fan consumers and strive to introduce products that reflect consumer needs."

Meanwhile, Honey Chex is exclusively available at Lotte Mart and Lotte Super and can be purchased nationwide through Lotte's online and offline malls.
