July 24 to November 10, Resident Registration Fact-Finding Survey Conducted
Fact-Finding Survey Linkage, Unregistered Birth Child Reporting Period Operated
Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will conduct the "2023 Resident Registration Fact-Finding Survey" targeting all households in the county from July 24 to November 10 to improve the accuracy of resident registration and strengthen post-management.
The resident registration fact-finding survey will be conducted in two phases: a non-face-to-face digital survey (7.24?8.20) followed by a visit survey where village chiefs and town/myeon officials visit residences to verify the information (8.21?10.10).
The non-face-to-face digital survey is conducted by having the survey subjects access the Government24 app and respond to fact-finding questions. Those who participate in the non-face-to-face survey do not need to participate in the subsequent visit survey.
However, for "priority survey target households" that require detailed fact-finding regarding actual residence, a visit survey will be conducted even if they participated in the non-face-to-face digital survey.
"Priority survey target households" include welfare-vulnerable groups, suspected deceased persons, long-term absentees and school-age children not attending school, centenarians aged 100 or older, and households including long-term missing residents for over five years.
In particular, during this fact-finding survey period, the "Unregistered Birth Child Reporting Period" (7.17?10.31) will also be operated. A special task force (TF) for supporting unregistered birth children will be run to provide integrated services such as birth registration, emergency welfare, and legal support when unregistered birth children are identified.
If voluntary reporting is made during the fact-finding survey period, up to 80% of the fines imposed under the "Resident Registration Act" will be reduced.
Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, "We will thoroughly manage to prevent any leakage of personal information during the resident registration fact-finding process, and we ask for the active cooperation of all residents in verifying actual residence and finding unregistered birth children."
