LS MnM Holds 11th Science Camp... "Drone Experience is Fun"

Onsan Elementary School in Ulju-gun Hosts Camp for 11th Year
Vice Chairman Doseok Gu "Grateful to the Local Community"

LS MnM (formerly LS Nikko Copper Inc.) announced on the 27th that it held the 11th 'MnM Science Camp' at Onsan Elementary School in Ulju-gun, Ulsan City.

The camp was planned by LS MnM in collaboration with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. Since 2013, it has been held every summer vacation for 4th-grade students at Onsan Elementary School.

Moving beyond the traditional theory- and experiment-centered programs, it fosters scientific thinking skills such as logical reasoning and inference. The program is mainly composed of activities that friends can easily enjoy together.

Professional instructors conducted science experience programs including drone operation, artificial intelligence (AI) robot coding, metaverse virtual reality (VR) art, and the Challenge M Quiz. Reflecting requests from Onsan Elementary teachers and the local community, the number of participants was increased from the original 30 fourth graders to about 60.

Lee Jin-cheol, principal of Onsan Elementary School, said, "The 4th graders participating in the camp enrolled during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020," adding, "Since it was a large-scale event with friends, the students enjoyed it." He also expressed gratitude, saying, "We thank LS MnM for their long-standing and unwavering support."

Do Seok-gu, Vice Chairman and CEO of LS MnM, said, "We are grateful to Onsan Elementary School for giving us this precious opportunity to be with the children who will lead the future," and added, "We will continue to strive for coexistence and cooperation with the local community."
