GS Retail's supermarket GS The Fresh announced on the 26th that it will enter the 'Shopping' channel within 'Naver Shopping' (Naver) starting from 10 a.m. on the 27th. This move is to concretize the O4O (Online for Offline) strategy by strengthening the quick commerce business.

Through this partnership, GS The Fresh plans to establish a strong online quick commerce channel for same-day delivery within a wide regional range, thereby solidifying its position as the nation's leading quick commerce platform. Over 350 offline GS The Fresh stores nationwide will be linked with Naver online, allowing consumers who order between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m. to receive their products within one hour.
To achieve the fastest one-hour delivery, the company utilizes all available quick commerce resources, including △delivery vehicles per store △its own pedestrian delivery platform 'Uchin Baedalhagi' △delivery agencies such as Vroong and Barogo. The delivery area is limited to within a 2.5 km radius of each linked store, with a minimum order amount of 20,000 KRW and a delivery fee of 3,000 KRW.
The core operational strategies of GS The Fresh include △applying the same promotional events as each store △combining Naver Plus Membership payment benefits with its own benefits for double advantages △further discovering customer demand through AiTEMS (Naver's AI-based personalized recommendation service).
Through this, GS The Fresh expects to increase quick commerce sales by more than 50% compared to the current level and significantly contribute to expanding additional income for GS The Fresh franchise store owners.
The range of deliverable products will also be expanded from popular differentiated brands such as Cookat and Simply Cook to ready-to-cook foods with great taste and cost-effectiveness, such as Sunsak Dakgangjeong and Dutumbasak Katsu, aiming to broaden the customer base to include consumers in their 20s and 30s.
Jeon Jin-hyeok, Head of Business Strategy Team at GS Retail Quick Commerce Division, said, “GS The Fresh, the strongest offline supermarket, is partnering with the nation's number one portal to fully realize O4O,” adding, “We will connect online and offline as one through various events within the Naver channel.”
