Huh Se-hong, GS Caltex President, Joins Campaign to Reduce Single-Use Products

Heo Se-hong, CEO of GS Caltex, has joined the 'Single-Use Products Zero Challenge,' a campaign to reduce single-use products, GS Caltex announced on the 24th.


This challenge, initiated in February by Han Hwa-jin, Minister of Environment, is a nationwide eco-friendly campaign aimed at reducing the use of single-use products in daily life and increasing the use of reusable products.

CEO Heo participated in the challenge after being nominated by Woo Ki-hong, CEO of Korean Air, and recommended Park Joo-sun, Chairman of the Korea Petroleum Association, and Nam Yi-hyun, CEO of Hanwha Solutions, as the next participants.


Since 2020, GS Caltex has been conducting the 'Carbon Diet for the Earth' campaign with employees and customers, encouraging small behavioral changes in daily life such as using tumblers, practicing vegetarianism, and saving energy to reduce carbon emissions. They have also launched 'Earth TokTok,' a behavior change campaign that provides eco-friendly tools to help citizens reduce carbon emissions.
