‘AI Vision Analysis’ Viewmagazine Makes Its Mark with Technology in Domestic and International Markets

ViewMezin, an AI vision solution specialist company led by CEO Kim Do-yeop, is gaining attention as a promising startup with its unique technological capabilities. By providing image analysis solutions that combine AI image analysis technology and autonomous flight drone technology, it is recognized as a leading company in the industry, receiving numerous awards and investment attractions as a result.

ViewMezin announced on the 20th that it was recently selected for the ‘ComeUp Stars 2023’ Rocket League, organized by the Korea Startup Forum. ComeUp Stars refers to promising startups with high innovation and growth potential showcased annually at the global startup festival ‘ComeUp.’ Among them, 20 companies were invited to the ‘Rocket League,’ carefully selected through recommendations from the official ComeUp House composed of top-tier investors.

ViewMezin was selected as a startup that can share insights and global expansion know-how as a senior entrepreneur, recognized for the innovation of its detection solution combining AI image recognition and analysis technology with autonomous flight drones. Its core competitiveness lies in the technology and expertise of AI vision solutions. Based on AI and drone-related technologies, within just one year of establishment, it has achieved 4 patents, filed 6 patent applications, and submitted an additional 10 patent applications, demonstrating a high level of technological capability.

In particular, ‘VODA,’ a construction site safety and quality inspection solution that combines autonomous flight drones and AI-based image analysis technology, is ViewMezin’s representative AI vision solution. Through the VODA solution, ViewMezin provides facility safety diagnosis solutions to major domestic construction companies. This innovative technology replaces the traditional method where people directly climb structures for inspection and measurement, performing safety diagnosis through AI vision analysis of images captured by autonomous flight drones, thereby reducing inspection time and costs.

From June 28 to 30, five ViewMezin engineers, including CV engineer Lee Ji-young, participated in the Summer Conference of the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers and presented papers. At this event, they presented research papers on deep learning-based algorithms that form the foundation of AI image analysis technology and methods to advance them, highlighting ViewMezin’s high AI technology level and future growth potential.

These technological achievements are proven by ViewMezin’s various award records. On the 12th, it won the grand prize in the AI utilization category at the 55th High-Tech Awards with the ‘VODA’ solution, which combines drones and AI vision analysis. In April, it also swept domestic and international AI-related awards, including receiving the ‘Korea Information and Communication Promotion Association President’s Award’ at the 2023 Korea Impact Tech Awards.

The high market evaluation is also evident in investment attraction. Since its establishment in 2020, ViewMezin has successfully attracted investments starting with seed investment from Hana Ventures of Hana Financial Group, followed by investments from IBK Industrial Bank of Korea and Plan A Ventures. In June, it was one of five major startups invested in and collaborating with Hyundai Motor Group to participate in the ‘Hyundai Motor Group Open Innovation Tech Day’ event, drawing market attention.

ViewMezin is also expanding its overseas business scope. In June, it partnered with Ukraine’s MPS Development and is currently discussing the supply of mine detection solutions with Ukrainian government agencies, the United Nations and international organizations’ Ukraine branches, local governments, and local chambers of commerce.

Kim Do-yeop, CEO of ViewMezin, stated, “AI vision solutions that recognize and detect images using artificial intelligence are technologies applicable in various fields,” adding, “We will continue to develop various projects based on ViewMezin’s unique technological capabilities in the future.”
