Sacheon-si Collects Citizens' Opinions on Hometown Love Donations

Mobile Gift Card Awarded to Outstanding Proposer

Sacheon City in Gyeongnam Province is collecting innovative ideas from citizens from the 20th to August 10th to discover fund projects utilizing the Sacheon City Hometown Love Fund, which was gathered with a spirit of love for the hometown.

Anyone interested in the Hometown Love Donation System can participate through Sacheon City's National Idea Platform, and mobile gift certificates will be awarded to outstanding proposers.

The project proposal areas include ▲support for socially vulnerable groups and youth development and protection ▲promotion of culture, arts, and health for local residents ▲support for community revitalization such as citizen participation and volunteering ▲and other projects necessary for improving residents' welfare.

The city is discovering hometown love fund projects across all departments, and the discovered projects will be surveyed along with outstanding proposals from the National Idea Platform to investigate citizens' preferences.

A city official said, “We ask for the active interest and participation of citizens so that the hometown love donation fund can be used meaningfully. We will actively discover various projects reflecting the opinions of citizens.”

Meanwhile, Sacheon City surpassed 100 million KRW in hometown love donations within six months of implementation and is striving to achieve this year's target amount of 200 million KRW.
