Herman Abandoned 38 Billion KRW Lawsuit Last Month
Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Already Dismissed
‘Golf Emperor’ Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend Erica Herman (both from the United States) has withdrawn her lawsuit.
The New York Post reported on the 18th (local time) that "court documents recently obtained revealed that Herman withdrew the lawsuit last month." Herman filed a lawsuit against the corporation owning Woods’ mansion in Florida, claiming $30 million (approximately 38 billion KRW) in damages, alleging she was unfairly evicted from the Florida mansion where she lived with Woods last March.
Herman lived with Woods in his mansion for six years while dating him and claimed to have provided Woods with “valuable services.” The court was scheduled to begin hearing the lawsuit next month, but with the withdrawal, Woods avoided a legal battle. Previously, a lawsuit Herman filed accusing Woods of sexual assault was dismissed by a Florida court.
Herman was involved in related work when Woods opened a restaurant in Florida in 2014 and managed operations after the restaurant began business. It is known that Woods and Herman started dating in the second half of 2017, and she stood by Woods’ side when he won the Masters in 2019 and when he was inducted into the Golf Hall of Fame in 2022. However, they apparently broke up in the second half of 2022. Herman sued Woods’ side in October last year.
Woods married Elin Nordegren (Sweden) in 2004 and had one son and one daughter, divorcing after a sex scandal in 2009. Afterwards, he dated skier Lindsey Vonn, stylist Kristin Smith (both from the United States), and continued his relationship with Herman. Woods withdrew during the third round of the Masters in April, underwent ankle surgery, and is focusing on treatment. He will also miss the final major tournament, The Open, starting on the 20th.
